One important thing visitors to these places should bear in mind is that though there are an abundance of accommodations in these famous attractions, you are 'highly recommended' to book your lodging far in advance if you plan to visit during the high season. Please also note that all hotels in Phuket town are fully occupied during the Vegetarian Festival (around October) when thousands of visitors flock to the town.

Phuket Town

Plenty of hotels are available ranging from budget to luxury class. The average rates of budget hotels are 300 to 400 baht for a room with fan and 500 to 700 baht for one with air-con.

Patong Beach & Kalim Bay

Due to its abundance of hotels and guesthouses, Patong has become the cheapest beach on the island for accommodation. However, rates of hotels on this beach, as well as other beaches, vary according to season. The majority of hotels here are in the range of 1,200 - 2,500 baht for a room with air-con and private bath. During the low season, you may be able to knock about 40-50% off.

Kata & Karon Beaches

Next to Patong Beach, Kata and Karon beaches offer a greater number of accommodations than other beaches. While Patong offers more varied types of hotels, Kata and Karon have more resort hotels with beautiful landscape and wider space. On either beach, most of the budget places are located well off the beach on the road to the island interior.
